Picture it: You're running for your life from angry, charging bulls through the narrow streets of Spain and you've never felt more alive. Now replace the bulls with girls on skates and swap out Spain for the (wider) streets of Downtown Monroe, LA. and you're beginning to get the picture… but it's just the beginning. See for yourself June 9th. Run, walk or crawl 1 mile as you're chased by bat-wielding, roller girls with horns. Winner gets bragging rights and a sweet trophy, but those that make it last leave with the best stories (and scars… emotional only). So come for the fun and excitement, stay for the music, food trucks and Flying Tiger Beer! And don't leave the youngsters at home; the entire event is family-friendly with plenty of activities for kids of all ages.

HISTORY /
The running of the bulls started in the streets of San Fermin Pamplona Spain as early as 1215. As years went by it would progress to Portugal, Mexico and France. Mickey Hanning created a similar tradition in New Orleans in 2007, after experiencing the real thing in San Fermin Pamplona. In his version, roller derby skaters don the persona “RollerBulls” and charge the streets with wiffle ball bats. The event was well received and has boasted runners of over 14,000 and 400 roller bulls from all over the country. "Viva San Fermin!, Gora San Fermin."
